Project Description
On January 15, 2013, Racanelli Construction South was awarded a contract for the construction of an administration building, purchasing and inventory building and site improvements for the Town of Apex Public Works Department. The purchasing and inventory building includes offices and a warehouse facility, a pre-manufactured steel equipment storage building, a heavy equipment wash bay with a pre-manufactured steel frame and roof with CMU walls. The work also includes concrete paving for the inventory lay down yards, parking lots, street and road widening, waterline utilities, stormwater structures and various site improvements.
Included in this project are concrete retaining and basement walls, waterproofing, unit masonry walls, steel frames, metal stud framing, insulation, sealants, metal roofing, membrane roofing, metal gutters, fascia and soffits. Floor finishes include VCT and carpet over concrete floors and steel deck. Wall finishes include painted masonry and gypsum wall board. Plumbing, electrical systems, lighting and related site work and utilities are also included.
