Project Description
The new ABC store for the Durham County ABC Board is a total of 12,000 square feet and includes one of the largest retail ABC sales areas in Durham as well as separate Mixed Beverage sales area for businesses that sell mixed beverages to their patrons, such as restaurants, bars and private clubs.
The building features brick and plaster veneer with prefabricated metal canopies on the exterior and thin brick decorative veneer, acoustical ceiling panels, sliding automatic entrance doors, security film on all exterior glazing, LED lighting throughout, and a 130 KM Gas Generator. The sitework included construction in a low-lying wetland area and required extensive soil remediation, storm drainage, new water utilities (bored underneath highway 55), new site lighting and road widening/new turn lane work installed under the supervision of NCDOT.
